You always want to rely on midtones-they do the bulk of your work. It looks good. You can always go back and fill it in with more blended shades. Always use the highlights and shadows sparingly. That’s how I learned. *lol* anyways. *lol*

I get really tired of seeing women act as if a man can’t have an opinion on abortion because he doesn’t have a uterus. artistdirectory.tumblr…. So much better than tumblrs own.
Ah yes, I forgot about this art directory. A very good blog, and much easier to navigate than the tumblr directory. Plus, it looks like any artist can submit their blog, which to me means I can find a wide variety of artists.

I hate the tumblr directory. It’s almost a waste of my time to use as a tool to find good blogs. It almost never seems to work properly for me, which could either be something wrong with my own computer settings, or maybe it just sucks. It also seems to feature the same blogs all the time. I know of some fine artists that are not in the directory, and it’s a shame.

haha! We haven’t seen 42 degrees here for a while, but I’m sure that’s really cold for what you are use to. We lost electricity, but only for about 6-7.

I’m finally getting ready to draw for the day, but the lights keep flickering. We are in the middle of an ice storm. Power lines don’t hold up well covered with inches of ice. Maybe I’ll be drawing with a flash light tonight. Either way, I need to draw. It’s been a while.
